Last week, the auction house held another big event, the Christie’s Important Jewels auction, in New York. The auction totaled over $33 million in sales. Among the most expensive items sold at the auction are A rectangular- and circular-cut, K color faint brown VVS1 potentially internally flawless diamond pendant weighing 81.38 carats, mounted on a necklace of white diamonds, sold for $3.2 million. A rectangular-cut H color, potentially internally flawless 23.89-carat diamond sold for $1.6 million, and the most expensive item sold was a cushion-cut 101.36-carat L color, VS2 diamond, which sold for $5 million, or $49,100 per carat.
